Yes! We want to come. How do we book our session? We try to make the process of reserving lanes super easy. While we accept walk-ins, we strongly suggest that you book ahead of time to secure your spot through our reservation system. Just click here. You’ll be asked for some basic information. Just fill in the form, pay a $20 deposit (per lane), and get ready for the fun! We can also make a reservation over the phone during business hours (724) 622-8782. Once we get some basic information, we will send you a link to pay your deposit to reserve your lane.

How old do throwers need to be?Great question! While we want to encourage the next generation of axe throwers, Beaver County Axe Throwing Co. has an age requirement of 12+. All throwers 12-17 must have their waivers signed by a legal parent or guardian. Also, all kiddos 12-15 need to be accompanied by an adult on-site. You can sign your kids’ waivers before they arrive here.

Do you sell food and booze?BCAT is proud to be the only venue in the region that is BYOB (beer, wine & seltzers only)! So, bring some brews or stop by Uncl’ Chucks next door and grab some bevvies. They’re offering our patrons two bucks off a sixer when you show them your reservation. While we do have light snacks and NA drinks available for purchase, feel free to bring your own food.
-
I have no idea how to throw an axe. Is that a problem?Absolutely not! Every session includes coaching to teach you safety procedures, throwing techniques, and some very cool games to bring out your competitive side. Our coaches will check in after the initial session with additional tips and adjustments as needed.
-
Is axe throwing dangerous? This is an important question! When the safety procedures (outlined by our coaches) are followed, axe throwing is really quite safe. Nevertheless, there can be inherent risk if people do not take safety seriously. Anyone being a dangerous doofus will be asked to leave. (No refunds.)
-
Can I bring my own axe? You’re that kind of Viking, huh? We provide a variety of axes in different weights and styles. That said, if you’re a seasoned veteran, bring your own tools. We reserve the right to restrict outside axes if we deem it necessary.
-
What in the world should I wear?Dress comfortably. That’s the key. Our only true regulation is that patrons MUST wear closed-toed shoes. No exceptions.
-
How long do we get to throw for?Our standard session is for 90 minutes including coaching.
-
Can people come to watch? While we encourage everyone to try throwing, we understand that there might be a few folks who just want to come for the hang. We welcome you! But there is a $15 charge (paid at the Lodge) for non-throwers.
-
What if I need to cancel my reservation? We know things come up sometimes. If you cancel your scheduled appointment at least 48 hours before your session, we will be happy to reimburse your payment/deposit. Deposits for parties/events are $100 and are non-refundable.
-
Can I rent the entire lodge for a party?YES! We do rent out the venue for birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate events, holiday festivities or any special occasion. Fill out the form on our Events page, and one of our staff will get back to you with details on pricing and scheduling ASAP.
